Biography
Dr. Kapilkumar is a passionate Marine biologist with proven expertise in various areas of Environmental sciences with acknowledged track record and a strong interest in Blue carbon Ecosystems. He has worked on Public and Environmental Health at the Department of Preventive and Environmental Medicine, Kumamoto University, Japan. He has completed Post-graduate Diploma in Journalism from the University of Pune. He has worked on Marine macroalgae cultivation in the Environmental Bioengineering Laboratory at Tel Aviv University, Israel in which he has suggested the Risk Assessment Framework on Integrated Pest Management for Seaweed farming. During his Ph.D at the University of Szeged, Hungary, he worked on the Impacts of Non-native plantations (Bioenergy crops) on Local biodiversity and overall ecosystem functioning. His current focus is on Sustainable Seaweed farming Technology which has many valuable Ecological services.
